Wilson, Conroy B. - Executive Director

Conroy B. Wilson is the Executive Director of Ashe Caribbean Performing Arts Foundation which includes the Ashe Academy, a school for training in the performing arts and edutainment and the Ashe Ensemble, a full-time, professional performing arts ensemble. He holds an MA in Communication for Social and Behaviour Change from the University of the West Indies. Wilson is a prolific songwriter and international creative consultant with various organizations and is a workshop trainer and facilitator. Wilson has led the transformation of the Ensemble into a strong performance-oriented, peer education/empowerment organization. He writes and arranges songs, teaches music and plays the piano. He is certified to lead introductions into the Landmark Forum (a programme given by Landmark Education Corporation, a transformational leadership-based organization).

Holgate, Michael - Artistic Director/Writer/WorkShop Trainer/ Facilitator

Michael Holgate is the Artistic Director, writer and workshop trainer and facilitator with Ashe Caribbean Performing Arts Ensemble & Academy. Holgate holds a B.A. in English Literature and an MPhil in Cultural Studies from the University of the West Indies. He is a Lecturer and External Examiner in Folk and Traditional Dance at the Edna Manley College for the Visual and Performing Arts. He is the writer of the lyrics, books and music for Kyass Kyass n’ Curfew in which he plays the role of ‘Satta’ the Don. Holgate is the author of Your Creative Guide to Better Living and can be seen in the movie “One Love”.

Hill, Anneika - Performing Artiste/Facilitator

With over 11 years experience in the performing arts Anneika acquired formally training from Joseph Robinson, Michael Harris, Michael Holgate and Conroy Wilson who are all qualified teachers in their field.  Anneika has performed in several countries around the world these include France, Italy, Spain, England.  She has done work in Major Commercials for companies such Lasco & Red Label Wine, Clean and Clear, B Mobile.  She has also participated in several music videos and was a core dancer for ICC Cricket World Cup.  Anneika is currently enroll at the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts.

Pinto, Orlando - Performing Artiste/Facilitator
Orlando Pinto has a diploma in Advance Peer Education.  He also worked with Addiction Alert (Rise Life Management) as an Adolescent Facilitating Officer. Pinto has over twelve years experience in the performing arts. Orlando is trained in the Ashe EIC Transformational Model of teaching. He has traveled with Ashe and performed in several countries in the world.  These countries include France, Italy, Spain, and England along with several countries in the Caribbean.  He has done major commercials for Red Label Wine and Youth Link.
Williams, Ifidel - Performing Artiste/Facilitator

A graduate of Jamaica College Ifidel received seven subjects in the Caribbean Secondary Examination Certificate administered by Caribbean Examination Council (CXC).  He received formal training in the performing arts from Jamaica College Chapel Choir and Cathy Levy Players.  Ifidel has over eight (8) years experience in the performing arts and has received several awards for his performances.  He is also a trained facilitator in the Ashe EIC Transformational Model of Teaching.

Ifidel has done work in major commercials for Youth Link, Ministry of Health, Bmobile campaign for Cricket World Cup, Chillin Fruit and played as a supporting actor in the newest Jamaican feature film ‘Better Mus Come’. He also assisted in the creation of the song for Cricket World Cup Unite for Children, Unite Against Aids.  He is also an avid songwriter and teacher.
Newman. Paul - Performing Artiste/Facilitator/Teacher

Paul has over eleven (11) years experience in the performing arts.  Paul has performed in several countries around the world these include France, Italy, Spain, England, the Caribbean, Europe and North America. Paul is trained in the Ashe EIC Transformational Model of teaching.  In addition to his training and performance with Ashe, Newman has also performed with Movements Dance Theatre Company and toured with the company to the United States

Paul has been very impressive with his choreographic work so much so that he has trained many persons in the Ashe Performing Arts Academy (the junior group of Ashe).  Paul also has a certificate in Supervisory Management from Institute of Management and Production.  He has participated in Major Commercials for Lasco, Ho-made, Ministry of Health and Red Label.  Paul is currently a student at Edna Manley College majoring in Dance Theatre Production. 

McDonald-Russel, Sharee - Performing Artiste/Facilitator/Supervisor

 Sharee McDonald-Russell has Thirteen years (13) experience in the performing arts.  During this period she received formal training in the Afro- Caribbean Arts, Modern Jazz and Drama.  Sharee has earned Seven Subjects at the CXC level, two at the advance level and a certificate in Management for University College of the Caribbean.  She has also received a Diploma in Institution Building and Strategic Planning and is trained in the Ashe EIC Transformational Model of teaching    Sharee has performed in several countries worldwide.  She has acted in a number of Jambiz productions these includes,

    • The Last Stand
    • Ras Noah and the Hawk
    • Class of ’73
    • Cutie and the Freak

Sharee acted in the popular Television Series Royal Palm Estate and has done several commercials for Western Union, Teen Herald, Excedrin, Lasco, Courts and Singer.  She has also participated in several music videos for artists such as Elephant Man, Lexxus, Spice, Cobra just to name a few.

Barrett, Kelly - Performing Artiste/Facilitator/Supervisor/Teacher

Kelly Barrett a founding member of Ashe Ensemble is choreographer and dance tutor who has over 14years of experience.  She has received formal training from Cathi Levy’s Little People and Teen Players Club, training in Afro Caribbean Dance and Modern dance technique. She is trained in the Ashe EIC Transformational Model of Teaching.   Kelly has toured several countries and has also done several major commercials. These include Red Label Wine, Excedrin, Lasco, Teen Herald, Pick 3, Bmobile.  Kelly was selected to be a core dancer for the opening ceremony of the ICC Cricket World Cup.  She has also acted in the Jamaican move ‘One Love’ and has won Best Choreographer for the production Curfew from the ITI Actor Boy Award.

Flowers, Taunia - Performing Artiste/Facilitator/Supervisor/Teacher

Taunia has eleven (11) years of experience in the performing arts.  She has received formal training in Afro Caribbean Technique and Modern dance technique.  She has also received a Diploma in Institution Building and Strategic Planning, a certificate in Supervisory Management from Institute of Management Production and a Certificate from National Youth Service with specific training in Early Childhood Education.  Taunia currently served as the Vice Principal for Ashe Academy (Junior department of Ashe). She has toured several countries in the world and has acquired major commercial contract with Red Stripe, Beer Money, Lasco, Lucky 5 and Teen Herald.  Taunia has also played a feature role in the Jamaican Film Candy Shop and ‘better mus come’ and has also appeared in several music videos.

Hibbert, Kevin - Performing Artiste

Kevin has over Eight (8) years of experience in the performing art. He acquired formally training from Joseph Robinson, Michael Holgate and Conroy Wilson in Afro Caribbean Techniques and voice training. He is trained in the Ashe EIC Transformational Model of Teaching.    Kevin has performed in several countries around the world these include France, Italy, Spain, England.  Kevin has excelled in dance so much so that he was selected to be a core dancer for the opening ceremony of ICC Cricket World Cup.

Molton, Latoya - Performing Artiste/Facilitator

Latoya started her career in the performing arts while doing drama at Tivoli Gardens High School. She received formal training when she joined Ashe in 2003. Latoya is trained in the Ashe EIC Transformational Model of Teaching.  She received a Marketing Certificate from Caribbean Business Institute and a Diploma in Institution Building and Strategic Planning.  Latoya has toured several countries in the world where she had a chance to display her talent.
