Ashe's Sweet 16

Much buzz has been created as Ashe will once again be hosting its Annual Season of Excellence dubbed Sweet Sixteen. Members past and present will showcase their creative talent from September 30 to October 4 at the Little Theatre.
A Sweet Sixteen is usually a time in one’s life when they celebrate growth and a sense of maturity having reached the ‘age of consent’. There is new found freedom, a sense of independence and focus is developed as one journey’s to individuality and fulfilment. Ashe is celebrating 16 years of producing and delivering excellence in the performing arts. Over the last 16 years the company, which comprises an ensemble of professional performers and facilitators and the academy, a school for training, has recorded numerous success stories from its productions, trainings, workshops and individual membership locally and internationally.
It is against the background of this success and the renewed energy and vision behind the company that after a long break from staging an annual season of excellence, the company has decided to showcase its work at 16.
We will be doing 3 different shows to showcase the diversity of the group. The first night will feature two musicals Lift Up Jamaica and Curfew to showcase our original musicals and edutainment. The second night will feature Boonoonoonoos, our traditional, cultural repertoire of songs and dances and Brawta, our show stoppers, popular and contemporary repertoire. The third night will feature new repertoire from our current members and directors, special guest teachers and performances by members who are making waves locally and internationally.
Individuals will be given the option to purchase season tickets to see all 3 shows or individual tickets to see specific shows. The Shows run from Tuesday Sept 29 - Thursday October 1 and then Friday October 2 to Sunday October 4
